International Polar Bear Day and Floral Design Day
International Polar Bear day is February 27 and is meant
to draw attention to the environmental concerns and their habitat well being.
We are encouraged to turn down our thermostats in on this day
to reduce carbon emissions.
The next holiday is Floral Design Day. I like to make a lot of
different botanical drawings and paintings and put them
together in photoshop.
This is an everlasting pea, just like the sweet pea flower, but has no fragrance.
You can see it growing wild in certain areas, especially coastal areas.
Floral Design day is on February 28 and was started to
celebrate this art form that has been around for thousands of years.
It was also started to celebrate the birthday of Carl Rittner,
founder of Rittner's School of Floral Design in Boston.
