National Hedgehog Day, Almond Day, Year of the Rat

This holiday has passed, but hedgehogs deserve extra attention
since the groundhog replaced them in 1887 for guessing when spring would arrive.
And they're just cute.

It's uncertain how this holiday came to be, but it's a good day to eat some almonds.
They are good addition to your diet for a healthy lifestyle.
Did you know 80% of almonds are grown in sunny California?

Happy Chinese New year.  Are you a rat?
It's said in the Chinese culture, rats were seen as a sign of wealth
and abundance.  People born during the year of the rat
are likable and may tend to be hoarders which
can cause them to waste money on unnecessary things.
