Elephant Mixed Media Painting Fallon ArtSeeds

I went to a dinner and painting workshop hosted by Fallon ArtSeeds over the weekend. 

The painting above was the base coat.  This project had lots and lots of layers.  We chose three colors to use plus white.   

We continued building up layers and more layers of shapes and words using stencils, stamps and other tools like toilet paper rolls and bubble wrap.  

Several more layers later this is my final painting.  We used a black oil type stick to draw on the shape we wanted and smear it a bit with our fingers.  Then put in the complimentary color around the shape to make it stand out more.  Very fun evening and great dinner at the Maine Street Cafe.
