Grantsville Ghost Town and Middlegate

 

Last weekend we visited Grantsville an old ghost town/mining town that has several old buildings and rock houses still standing. 

Great autumn colors with rabbit brush blooming everywhere and junipers still nice and green.

 

When we were finished exploring we had burgers and fries at Middlegate.  If you're ever traveling the loneliest highway 50 it's worth a stop for a break and a bite to eat.  It's a neat old building and the ceiling has dollar bills covering it with messages from people all over.  Old miner mannequins peering out from here and there.  Some neat relics too look at too.
