Fruit Contour Drawing and Crayons

 

A contour drawing with watercolor of a fruit still life.  I loved it once I got started.  Think maybe I had some Zen moments...while drawing :)  That always feels great.     

 

Well after school has started I finally get some inspiration for some back to school greeting cards, but they'll be ready for next year.  I drew the crayons in pencil and colored pencil.  I wanted something simple and colorful.  I had a hard time trying to figure out what the rest of the design should be that would go along with my crayons.  I spent a couple hours trying things out with a letter pattern, word patterns and notebook paper lines.  After all that I ended up with the simple theme again, I liked it best.
