Winter Branch Sketches

There are four leaves left on the tree I've been focusing my sketching on the past few days. I decided to draw two, save the other two for tomorrow. It is a flowering plum ornamental tree and there are a few shriveled plums left also. I've been intrigued with them, maybe because everything else is covered with snow. We usually don't get a bunch of snow here in Fallon, but we got a great storm last week and the snow is still around. I love it. The miniature rose bush is drooping with the weight of the snow, but the leaves are still green and the dianthus plants nearby are too. This is the current status of my little corner garden.
