Winter Solstice Painting and Valentine Ideas

Inspired to sketch-paint a winter scene for the Winter Solstice. I read an article in Healthy Beginnings magazine about a young girl in Seattle who began to leave food for crows and they began to bring her things in return.  Neat. 

Brainstorming, in a stream of consciousness way I guess, ideas for Valentine's Day.

I'm inspired by animals, especially cats.  I took a walk today in the dry, dusty 50 degree wind

and spotted a cat in a window watching me walk by.  I love how quiet cats are.
