Autumn Plein Air Painting Idlewild Park

I went with some friends to Idlewild Park in Reno plein air painting this week.  It was a beautiful day on the river.  Lots of geese and ducks.  And rocks to paint since the river is very low.  

I tried painting on an easel this time, which I'm not used to. I liked it.  Totally different experience and I found myself going back to the board on my lap to draw. 

My second painting.  I drew a sketch with ink first and put down an initial wash before we decided to call it a day.

And my first painting.  It was a really fun day.
