Virginia City St. Mary's Art Retreat

 

Last weekend I attended at art retreat at St. Mary's Art Center in Virginia City. 

 

We hiked around.  This is a view of the seven mile canyon.

 

I saw some wild horses on an early morning walk. 

 

This is Sugar Loaf mountain and we did some plein air painting here.  I sketched the old mine mill foundations at the base of the hill.  

 

When we arrived at our plein air painting site these fearless chickens greeted us.  I wished I had something to give them to eat.  They looked like they hadn't been taken care of for quite a while.  Poor things.
