California Poppies in Bloom

 

My California poppies are blooming in my garden.  I have one little plant, but it's becoming fuller all the time and I'm going to let it go to seed so I have them here and there.  I sketched some in pen and ink with watercolor.  They have neat little flower buds.

 

Working with my "nifty-fifty" lens practicing some bokeh backgrounds for the poppies.  I'm really enjoying learning to use my DSLR camera and trying to learn Lightroom to go along with it ~ fun program, but challenging at times for me still.  But I'll get it :)
