The Art of Letter Writing and Stationery
I'm happy to see the rekindling of the
art of letter writing.
I bought a pretty, flowery box from Michaels
to keep my collection of cards and letters in.
I have quite a few greeting cards
I've saved over the years from different family members.
Some that have passed on now and
I'm so glad I have those to see their handwriting.
I love to see the different handwriting styles
from different generations.
It's also fun to notice the different card styles they choose.
It says something about their personality.
Letters and cards from children
are some of the best ones to receive.
I love the "L" in uncle!
This is from my niece and nephew
who are now high school/college age.
Some of my favorite items to design
are stationery sets.
Nice quality thick paper that has lines
on both sides.
Envelopes with the matching floral print inside.
You can change the color of the envelope, too.
And finish with a custom return address sticker
with the same floral pattern.
Letter writing is a healthy creative outlet and
you touch someone else's life with joy.
There are letter writing societies, clubs, and pen pal groups
that are keeping this tradition alive.
USPS has a Directory of letter writing societies
and there are fun websites to visit
to buy unique supplies, even wax seals.
You can get yourself a pretty box to gather your supplies,
fix a cup of tea, background music, and
meditate on what you'd like to write.
People really do enjoy getting meaningful
letters and cards in the mail.
