Blue Flax Watercolor Flower Study

 

Working on a study of flax flowers this week.  I started with a detailed pencil drawing of the flowers initially.  Then I painted them in a really loose style, wet in wet.

 

And for the last one I painted them with a little more detail and added lavender and some orange butterflies.  I enjoyed the last two the best.  More free flowing and intuitive painting.  Was fun.
