I was going through my box of photos I've had for years, before digital cameras. I like going through the photos and being able to hold them in my hands, sorting through them. I found a photo of this barn I took years ago (1998 I think) coming back from a workshop I took with Claudia Nice at her Brightwood Studio. It was really fun. I think I need to find a workshop to attend soon.

I took my travel paint kit outside yesterday to paint the cosmos flowers I planted over Memorial Day weekend.
It was pretty hot so I'm going to start painting in the morning.

Painting windows. I loved the yellow and blue. I've been trying to take specific color photos with my camera and painting my favorites.

This is my entry for this week's Daily Paintworks Challenge, which is "Window". It took me a while to figure out what to title it. I wanted to paint it because of the green metal in the window and the brick. It reminded me of a building from the middle ages.

Getting bolder with color and felt orange yesterday. Not quite vermilion, but I liked the name better than "Orange Daisies". I think maybe the centers are vermilion. This painting is up for auction in my DPW Site here
You can find my original paintings for sale here

This is my entry for the Daily Paintworks challenge. The theme was green.
I bought three plants to paint and then plant in the garden. A fun exercise.

I finished my apple studies this week. I learned a lot with mixing the colors for the red apples, especially the red delicious.
I drew the apples in colored pencil before painting them.
Red delicious are my favorite apples to eat.

I bought a selection of apples this week to paint. I haven't eaten a golden delicious in a while so wanted to paint that first so I can eat it first.
