Sparrows and Spring Blossoms

I decided to make a short series of sparrows in my blooming plum trees.

Over the weekend the leaves started to come out and were mixing nicely with the blossoms, until the wind picked up.

Sunflowers and a Sparrow

This is my entry for the painting sunflowers challenge this week on Daily Paintworks.  Click here for more details.

And I've been wanting to draw a bird for a while and our trees are in full bloom in our backyard so I added a little sparrow to one of the branches.

Daffodil Cottage and Watercolor Pears

Revisiting my Daffodil Cottage painting to let you know it is now available for sale in a Daily Paintworks auction!  You can click here for details.

Last week I bought some pears to try and paint.  I think I probably painted five or six pear paintings exploring different compositions and colors.  This one is available for sale in a Daily Paintworks auction.

And I am a fan of milkweed.  It grows all around the canal banks where I live.  The bees love it too.
Hope you have a great week.

Bee Balm and Spring Lambs

I had a great time with colors in this painting.  My bee balm last summer bloomed beautifully and I'm hoping it will this year too.  It's starting to develop some leaves already.  Click here for more info on this painting.

And spring on the farm. I love baby anything and lambs are some of my favorites.  Click here for more info

Sand Harbor Lake Tahoe Kayaking and Roses

A scene from Sand Harbor Lake Tahoe last summer.  Painted in watercolor with ink.  For more details click here.

My Valentine's Day and anniversary roses with some added moths.  I tried to work in a sketchy sky with the ink and then added the watercolor.

I liked the waves of purple wildflowers in the pasture.  A scene from near Lake Owhyee Oregon.  Click here for more details

Watercolor Painting Sale, Radish and Tulip Fields

Looking through photographs I took last summer of produce I bought at farmer's markets, I found these radishes and thought they'd be fun to paint and they were!  Click here for more details.

Someday I'd like to go to the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival in March.  Would be heavenly for me.  I love shaker houses and fields of flowers so decided to put them together in this painting.  Click here for more details.
*****I'm having my annual spring sale on my watercolor paintings*****
Hope you have a nice weekend!
